Instagram’s Edits to Launch Shareable Insights Feature for Creators

Instagram will soon launch a new Shareable Insights feature for its video editing app, Edits.

During an IGU Fall session I attended that include a little over 30 creators, Instagram shared recently launched and upcoming features across both Instagram and Edits, including this new capability. It will allow creators to export insights about their account and specific media as a PDF.

Insights will include total Reels views, accounts reached, likes, comments, shares, saves, and more.

In addition, Edits will also get updates like more sound effects, text presets, caption animations, color correction, and more. The session also featured a brief guest appearance by Instagram head Adam Mosseri.

Why It Matters: With this feature, creators will be able to easily build media kits and share performance data with potential brand partners and collaborators, to help them monetize as well as expand their network of parnters.

It is a strong example of how Edits has quickly evolved into a robust tool that goes beyond video editing. Instagram continues to add features that support the entire creative workflow from inspiration and recording to editing and sharing insights, making it easier for creators to work efficiently and professionally.
