Twitch Will Train on Creator Content for Amazon’s Generative AI Models Unless Creators Opt Out

Twitch confirmed that it will use streamers’ channel content to train generative AI models across its parent company, Amazon. Creators who don’t want their content used can opt out through a new setting Twitch added after backlash.

Why It matters: This mirrors a move LinkedIn made a few years ago, when it automatically opted all users into allowing their data to train its content creation models, and that didn't go well either.
