YouTube has been spotted testing a new Ask Studio feature. As discovered by YouTube strategist Aniket Mishra, it's an experimental tool that functions as an AI creative partner.

Using a chatbot, Creators can select from three conversation topics in Comment Insights, Analytics Reviews, and Content Ideas and use Ask Studio to:

  • Summarize comments and feedback from their videos

  • Leverage their video and channel performance data

  • Brainstorm ideas and outlines for future content

YouTube has yet to make a formal announcement about Ask Studio, but it's likely to be mentioned in an upcoming Creator Insider video.

Why It Matters: Ask Studio is part of a growing trend of platforms launching AI assistants to support users. Most of these tools, such as TikTok’s AI Assistant, have been geared toward marketers and advertisers, often focusing on ad campaign creation and optimization. However, TikTok also offers one for creators called Creator Assistant, an AI-powered tool designed to help creators optimize their content strategy, improve video performance, and boost engagement.

YouTube’s Ask Studio is a similar feature that provides creators with a dedicated AI partner to help analyze feedback, surface insights and develop content ideas. This can save the time and effort typically required to manually pull insights, whether by creators themselves or their teams.

While human support, like dedicated strategists, can offer more nuanced recommendations and deeper analysis, Ask Studio could be especially helpful for creators who don’t have the resources to hire additional help. Even for strategists, it could serve as a valuable companion to enhance their skills, workflows and value, or simply to validate the recommendations Ask Studio provides.
