Pinterest Introduces AI Content Labels and "See Fewer" Option to Help Users Control THeir Feed Experience

Pinterest

Pinterest introduced new labels for AI-generated and AI-modified content. Posts flagged as such will now feature an "AI modified" label for transparency. Additionally, Pinterest is testing a "See Fewer" option on Pins, which allows users to reduce the amount of AI-generated content appearing in their feeds.

Why It Matters Pinterest’s new features give users more control over the content they see, which has become increasingly important as AI-generated content fills up feeds. With some users frustrated by the increase in AI content, including what is called "AI slop," these tools give them the option to adjust their experience.

As reactions to AI-generated content vary across platforms, expect other platforms to introduce similar tools to help users balance human and AI-generated content in their feeds.
