Instagram partnered with The Weeknd to showcase its new unlockable Reels feature. The singer shared a Reel from his upcoming movie, Hurry Up Tomorrow, that can only be accessed with a code.
Why It Matters: Instagram says it’s testing this feature to help creators “build excitement and buzz around exclusive content” while encouraging people to connect over shared interests. As it rolls out more broadly, it will unlock new use cases for influencer marketing campaigns, such as creators and brands teaming up for exclusive promo codes or product drops.
