LinkedIn Experiments With Carousel-Style Video Tab Highlighting Trending Topics

LinkedIn is testing a new version of its Video tab. Instead of launching directly into a full-screen vertical feed, the updated tab features a carousel-style layout. Videos are grouped under trending topics, such as “US economy slows down” and “Job search must-haves for 2025,” that users can scroll through vertically.
Tapping into a topic expands it into a vertical feed, where users can watch videos in full-screen mode and swipe across tabs at the top of the screen.
Why It Matters: This test reflects LinkedIn’s continued investment in video and, more recently, trend-driven content. Just a few weeks ago, the platform introduced its new Trends feature, and this builds on that momentum.
The redesigned tab offers users a quicker snapshot of what’s gaining traction on the platform, with the option to dive deeper into full video experiences. However, the dense layout and flood of talking-head videos may feel overwhelming to some.
This is likely part of LinkedIn’s ongoing test of new video experiences, which it first teased a few months ago.
