Instagram’s Edits Gets Three New Updates: More Insights, Audio Controls, and Export Options
Instagram’s Edits got another trio of updates. Creators now have access to more Reels insights, including new followers and accounts reached, as well as the ability to sort Reels by likes, comments, and saves.
There are also new, separate controls to reduce unwanted noise in videos and a new control to make voice stand out by balancing volume levels and speech frequencies.
Lastly, creators have more ways to share and download their Edits content, including the option to choose exports to save room on their camera rolls.
Why It Matters: Instagram continues to roll out weekly updates and new features to improve its video editing app. With these changes, creators can better understand the performance of their content, from who it’s reaching to how people are engaging with it. The new audio controls and options for saving videos made with Edits also add flexibility and convenience.
Edits was relatively bare at launch, but it’s becoming more robust each week, making it increasingly attractive to creators who want a free tool, especially given the recent backlash around CapCut.
