X Will Replace Creator Revenue Sharing With A New Original Content Rewards Program

X

X is sunsetting its Creator Revenue Sharing program in September and replacing it with the Original Content Rewards Program.

Eligible creators, including those with a Premium subscription and at least 5 million organic impressions over three months, can earn rewards for “high-quality content,” from original memes to commentary, based on factors like impressions and audience.

Why it matters: The new program supports two of X's key priorities: encouraging more original content and paying creators. It builds on other moves like new video tools and penalties for aggregator accounts, but given X's track record of churning through creator initiatives, it remains to be seen if this one sticks.
