Instagram added a highly requested feature: the ability to reorder Carousels.

Instagram shared a slightly different version of its guide for using content formats based on what communities creators are trying to reach.

Instagram confirmed it's testing new insights for Reels. Building on last week's spotted Carousel insights, creators will soon be able to see exactly when viewers hit "like" during their videos.

Instagram now supports 3:4 aspect ratio photos, the native format for most phone cameras. When users upload a 3:4 image, it appears exactly as shot. This applies to single photos and carousels. Users can still share posts in 1:1 and 4:5 formats.

Instagram has started rolling out the ability for more users to share photos in their original aspect ratio.

Instagram has introduced several new text-based creative tools. For Reels and Stories, users now have access to expanded fonts, effects, and animations, along with a simplified text tool. For Photos and Carousels, users can now add text and layer images using stickers.

Instagram now allows users to add up to 20 photos, videos, or mixed media in Carousel Posts, doubling the previous limit of ten photos or videos.

Instagram now allows users to add music to their Carousel posts that include videos. Previously, users could only add music to Carousels composed of photos. When music is added, the sound from the video(s) is muted.
