Threads Rolls Out Global Ads and Unveils New Web Experience

Threads

Threads announced two major updates. First, it’s rolling out ads globally. All eligible advertisers can now access this placement, which is enabled by default through Meta’s Advantage+ or Manual Placements.

Second, Threads has moved to Threads.com (from Threads.net) with a revamped web experience. Users can now access custom feeds similar to mobile, view liked and saved posts, copy a post as an image, and upload a list of people they follow on other platforms.

Why It Matters: With over 320 million users, Threads offers advertisers an easy and low-effort way to reach a growing and likely more brand-safe audience compared to X. While this is a win for advertisers, users may not be thrilled to see ads appearing in their feed.
